Synaptics Fs7605 Touch Fingerprint Sensor With Pureprint-tm-

The FS7605 is a capacitive touch fingerprint sensor designed to be placed beneath a glass or ceramic cover (cover lens), supporting modern industrial designs that favor seamless, button-less surfaces.

Unlike older swipe sensors, the FS7605 captures a full fingerprint in a single touch. Its adaptive noise filtering and gain control allow reliable operation through cover glass up to 300µm thick.

The Synaptics FS7605 is a touch-based fingerprint sensor designed primarily for the mobile, tablet, and laptop markets. Unlike older swipe-style sensors that required a user to drag their finger across a surface, the FS7605 utilizes a static touch area. This allows for a more intuitive user experience, mimicking the natural action of pressing a button. synaptics fs7605 touch fingerprint sensor with pureprint-tm-

Physically, the FS7605 is engineered for versatility. It is compact, allowing it to be integrated seamlessly into the industrial design of thin devices. Whether placed on the front, back, or side of a smartphone, or integrated into the power button of a laptop, the sensor’s form factor prioritizes space efficiency without sacrificing the surface area required for accurate scanning. It utilizes capacitive sensing technology, which detects the conductive ridges and valleys of a fingerprint to create a detailed digital map.

  • A common question arises: Why use a capacitive touch sensor like the FS7605 when we have optical under-display sensors? Unlike older swipe sensors, the FS7605 captures a

The answer is speed and security.

While under-display optical sensors are common in budget phones, the Synaptics FS7605 touch fingerprint sensor with PurePrint™ remains the gold standard for devices where security cannot be compromised for aesthetics.
