The character of Rocco Sifferdi was inspired by real‑life trainer Stefano “Stark” Rossi, an Italian animal trainer known for rescuing stray dogs in Naples. The team consulted Rossi for months, adopting his philosophy of “training through respect, not fear.” His facial model was built using photogrammetry from Rossi’s own likeness, giving Rocco a genuine Mediterranean warmth.
