To understand Let the Truth Be Told, you have to understand Z-Ro’s state of mind in 2005. He had just left the major label machine (having been signed to J-Prince’s Asylum/Warner Bros. imprint) and returned to his independent roots with Swishahouse / KMJ Records.
The album title is literal. Prior to 2005, Z-Ro was known for his "screwed & chopped" delivery and his role in the group Guerilla Maab. However, Let the Truth Be Told was his declaration of independence.
