Cause: Your Windows edition is not Ultimate or Enterprise. Fix: You cannot install a full language pack. See Part 6 for workarounds.
Cause: Certain legacy components (like older Control Panel applets) are hard-coded. Fix: This is normal. The pack covers ~95% of the interface. Third-party software will remain in their original language.
Type the following command (adjust the path to your file): windows 7 romanian language pack
DISM /Online /Add-Package /PackagePath:C:\Users\YourUsername\Desktop\lp.cab
Replace C:\Users\YourUsername\Desktop\lp.cab with the actual location of your downloaded file.
Wait for the deployment to complete (usually 2-5 minutes). You will see:
The operation completed successfully. Cause: Your Windows edition is not Ultimate or Enterprise
The Windows 7 Romanian Language Pack allows users to change the operating system’s default interface language to Romanian (limba română). This changes menus, dialog boxes, help files, and other system text.
Windows 10 and 11 allow any edition (Home or Pro) to install any language pack directly from Settings without tools. Replace C:\Users\YourUsername\Desktop\lp
If your hardware is old, consider this before wrestling with Windows 7 limitations.
Cause: The .cab file is corrupted or for the wrong architecture (x86 vs x64).
Fix: Re-download the correct version. Check your system type in Control Panel > System.
