Webe Gigi-model Sets 40-47 Now
To ensure your investment lasts a lifetime:
These three sets are designed for service providers and large-scale data center interconnects (DCI). They are often referred to as the "ZX" and "EX" equivalents. WEBE Gigi-model sets 40-47
Set 44 (80km Reach) Utilizing 1550nm cooled DFB lasers, Set 44 supports links up to 80km. It requires the use of single-mode fiber with no sharp bends. Network planners use this for connecting data centers across a city. To ensure your investment lasts a lifetime: These
Set 45 (120km Reach - Amplified) Set 45 is unique. While standard Gigi-models stop at 80km, Set 45 is designed to work with EDFAs (Erbium-Doped Fiber Amplifiers). In a passive configuration, it reaches 80km; with an inline amplifier, it reaches 120km. It includes forward error correction (FEC) to maintain bit error rates (BER) below 1e-12. It requires the use of single-mode fiber with no sharp bends
Set 46 (CWDM Capable) Set 46 breaks the mold. It is a "colored" optic. Rather than standard 1310/1550nm, Set 46 operates at specific CWDM wavelengths (1470nm to 1610nm, selectable via configuration). This allows you to multiplex up to 18 different Gigi-model signals onto a single fiber pair.
Set 41 utilizes 1310nm DFB lasers. It is the workhorse of the series, providing reliable connectivity up to 10 kilometers. It supports 1.25Gbps data rates with a typical power budget of 8dB. If you are connecting two buildings across a campus, Set 41 is your baseline.
