This paper analyzes the hypothetical yet representative case of “Dana Sofia,” a yoga instructor whose content blends asanas (postures) with entertainment tropes borrowed from lifestyle vlogging, TikTok transitions, and reality TV aesthetics. Drawing on theories of media convergence (Henry Jenkins) and the “attention economy,” the study argues that popular media reframes yoga instruction as performative entertainment. Dana Sofia’s success depends not on pedagogical rigor but on narrative storytelling, visual spectacle, and parasocial intimacy. Through a content analysis of influencer wellness videos, the paper identifies three key strategies: (1) aestheticization of healing, (2) micro-narrative arcs (e.g., “morning routine as drama”), and (3) gamified engagement (challenges, duets).
