Playing RE3 Remake immediately after RE2 Remake is a bit of whiplash.

The Good: Jill Valentine is the star of the show. Unlike the terrified Leon and Claire in the previous game, Jill is a seasoned S.T.A.R.S. member. She is battered, stitched up, exhausted, and totally badass. Her character model and performance are top-tier. The game looks stunning, even on High settings (which run easily on most hardware thanks to the optimized RE Engine).

The Nemesis Factor: Remember the anxiety of Mr. X slowly walking toward you in RE2? Nemesis is faster, stronger, and angrier. The first encounter with him in the streets is a heart-pounding sprint that showcases the engine's ability to handle chaos. However, his appearances are far more scripted than Mr. X’s. You won't find him stalking you through the police station for 45 minutes; he shows up for set pieces and then leaves. Depending on the repack group or crack used

The Bad (and The Ugly): The game is short. Aggressively short. A first playthrough on "Standard" difficulty takes about 5 to 6 hours. Compared to the A/B scenarios of RE2, this feels like an expansion pack rather than a full sequel.

Also, the game takes a sharp turn away from "Survival Horror" toward "Action Shooter." Ammo is plentiful, and enemies often feel like canon fodder rather than threats. By the time you reach the final boss (which is a bit of a repetitive QTE-fest), you might feel like you just played the tutorial level for a much larger game.
