Double-click Height. Select "Decimal".

Click OK and close Regedit.

Result: The game will now render at your chosen resolution, but it will still be 4:3 aspect ratio. Black bars will appear on the left and right sides. This is the "vanilla" registry fix—better than 800x600, but not the full screen you want.

Koei dropped the ball on this port, but the modding community has caught it. With D3D8to9 and the Widescreen HUD Fix, Samurai Warriors 2 runs beautifully on modern hardware at 4K 60 FPS. It is still the definitive way to play Yukimura Sanada’s classic campaign.

Final verdict: Mandatory fix. Do not play this game on PC without it.
