ProPresenter is a live presentation software used by churches, conferences, and events to display lyrics, song sheets, Bible verses, slides, and media. A “ProPresenter Tamil Bible” package is a formatted set of Tamil Bible texts (verses, chapters, translations) prepared for direct use inside ProPresenter — allowing quick lookup, display, and projection of Bible passages in Tamil during services.

Cause: ProPresenter's default line break rules are for Latin scripts. Fix: Do not rely on auto-line break. Convert your verses into "Cue Line Breaks." In the Bible editor, manually insert [br] tags or physical returns after logical phrases (typically after 15-20 characters for Tamil).

One of the biggest complaints when importing Tamil text into ProPresenter is character rendering. Tamil is a complex script with conjunct characters (combinations of consonants and vowels). Sometimes, the text may appear "broken" or disjointed (e.g., க் + கு appearing as separate symbols instead of combined).

Here is how to fix it:

  • Set the Bible Style:

  • Cause: Tamil script requires complex shaping (reshaping). Fix: Turn off "Live Spell Check" for the Tamil Bible in the text settings. Also, avoid having the entire Tamil Bible (66 books) loaded as one giant text file. Split it into "Old Testament Tamil" and "New Testament Tamil" separate files.
