Opel SPS Online is a subscription-based software application provided by General Motors (and now transitioned under Stellantis for newer models) that allows users to reprogram, calibrate, and configure original ECUs. Unlike generic OBD flashers, SPS communicates directly with GM’s central servers, downloading the exact software (calibration files) that the car was designed to run—or the latest updated version.

The "Online" aspect is critical. The system verifies your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN), checks current software levels, and then downloads the correct files in real-time. This ensures that you don't accidentally brick an ECU with the wrong firmware.
