Most walkthroughs show you how to kill the NightmareTaker (the tall figure in the top hat). You burn the portrait. You destroy the Locket. You win. That is the "Neutral" ending. It is unsatisfying. The boss will transform into a crying woman

The Exclusive "True Ending" Requirement: To unlock the "Goodbye, Mother" ending, you must have never damaged any mirror in the house (except the initial scripted one) and you must have the Torn Photograph from Act 1. After round 3, the stage cracks

During the final fight:

The boss will transform into a crying woman. You now have 10 seconds. Give her the Crying Doll from Part 1.

Result: The house fades to a sunny meadow. The game closes peacefully. You get the "Exclusive Unbroken" achievement (0.7% of players have this).
