Once the handshake succeeds, you will see:

At this point, your tool is "bypassing" security. Keep the tool window open. Now open SP Flash Tool or your preferred flashing software. The device will remain in a vulnerable state for 30-60 seconds. Flash your firmware or perform FRP reset immediately.
For severely locked devices (lost password, bricked), the preloader won't respond at all. You need to force BROM mode via a test point on the motherboard. mtk bypass tool handshaking error fix
Warning: This requires disassembling the phone.
MediaTek devices utilize a Preloader binary that acts as the primary bootloader. When an MTK device is connected to a PC via USB while holding specific button combinations (usually Volume Down), the Preloader initializes a handshake to identify the device.
Modern MTK devices (Android 8.0+) employ Anti-Rollback Protection (ARB) and secure boot mechanisms. "Bypass Tools" function by exploiting specific vulnerabilities in the Boot ROM to disable these protections. A "Handshake Error" indicates that the communication link was established momentarily but failed to sustain the data transfer required for the exploit to execute. How to check :
Residual charge in the motherboard capacitors keeps the preloader in a zombie state.
