As a journalist, I must address the elephant in the room.

The Copyright Status: Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks is Copyright 2005 Warner Bros. Entertainment. It is abandonware (not sold digitally anywhere, no modern port) but not public domain.

Legal Options:

Ethical Note: If Warner Bros. ever releases a Master Collection (like a Hitman HD Trilogy), you should buy it. Until then, the only way to preserve this title is through ISO archiving, as original PS2 discs rot and lasers fail.

If you just want a walkthrough/strategy guide for the game itself:

You can find full text/video guides on GameFAQs or YouTube (search: “Shaolin Monks 100% walkthrough”).

Before you search for the ISO, you must understand why collectors specifically want the -USA- tag.

The PS2 had three primary regions: NTSC-U/C (USA/Canada), PAL (Europe/Australia), and NTSC-J (Japan). The USA version is distinct for several reasons:

If you are using PCSX2 (the leading PS2 emulator), the USA ISO provides the most stable performance and compatibility.

Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks was a critical success (82 on Metacritic) and sold over 1.5 million copies. So why did we never get Shaolin Monks 2?

Two reasons:

However, Easter eggs remain. In Mortal Kombat 11, one of Liu Kang’s skins is directly ripped from his Shaolin Monks design.
