Carriers shut down 3G and refarm 4G bands. Older firmware may not include the updated band priority scanning logic, causing "No Service" even when the modem is technically capable.
Connect to the module via a serial terminal (PuTTY or minicom) and send: ml7820 b firmware

Visit https://www.fibocom.com/en/Support/Download.html
Search for "ML7820 B" or "M7820B." You may need to register a business account.
Send AT&F (factory reset) followed by AT&W (write settings). This clears any inconsistent NVRAM values from the old firmware.
