Select Series 3 is the third major service pack and feature update within the V8i lifecycle. Released around 2011-2012, SS3 was the culmination of years of refinement. It followed Select Series 1 and 2, fixing hundreds of bugs while introducing new capabilities without altering the core user experience.

In essence, MicroStation V8i Select Series 3 is the “golden build” of the V8i era—the version that most firms standardized on before the more dramatic interface changes of the CONNECT Edition (2015 onward).
