Connect it to your interface, fire up Auto Sampler, and it will play every note at every velocity layer, creating a playable, mapped EXS24 instrument. Version 3.6.6 handles the round-robin algorithm better than any previous release.

At its core, MainStage uses "Patches." A Patch contains one or multiple channel strips (Instruments, Audio, or External MIDI). Version 3.6.6 introduced a refined Patch selector that allows for "Live" folder view, letting you organize setlists with ease.
