While not exclusive to the Deluxe edition, the purchase often coincides with the player moving to next-gen. Madden NFL 24 on PS5 is a visual leap over the PS4 version.
If the Deluxe Edition is your upgrade catalyst to the new console generation, it is worth every penny just for the loading times saved over a full season.

It is worth noting the elephant in the room: Madden NFL 24 did not revolutionize Franchise mode (Franchise got mini-games and trade logic updates, but no "Commander" level overhaul). For players who despise Ultimate Team, EA Sports is essentially selling you a currency you will never use.
However, savvy Franchise players can game the system. You can log into MUT, use your 4600 points to buy packs, sell the contents for coins, and then use those coins to buy a "Theme Team" of your favorite NFL squad. Then, you can export that roster into a Play Now Franchise via the "Active Roster" system. It feels like a workaround, but it allows you to get value out of the Deluxe content without playing the competitive mode.
