The "Kontakt Add Library Tool" is a third-party utility designed to bypass the official licensing requirements of Native Instruments’ "Service Center" or "Native Access." Officially, Kontakt (versions 5 and above) requires libraries to have a .nicnt file and be registered via Native Access to appear in the Libraries tab. What it doesn’t do:
However, many legitimate free libraries, older commercial libraries, or custom user-generated instruments lack this official registration. The Add Library Tool creates the necessary registry entries (on Windows) or plist files (on macOS) to trick Kontakt into displaying any folder as a fully authorized library in the sidebar.
Important: This tool does not crack, pirate, or circumvent paid library authorization. Legitimate libraries that require a serial number will still work only if you own a license. The tool simply adds the visual presence of a library to your Kontakt browser.
