Since the game’s launch, three season passes have added extra characters. These are not unlockable via gameplay—they require purchase.

To unlock DLC characters, you must buy the character pass or individual fighters for $5.99 each.

Once you clear Story Mode with all 16 starter characters, the game rewards you with the "Rival Pack" – four characters at once:
