For over a decade, the PSP’s Kamen Rider: Super Climax Heroes has been a ghost in the machine. Released in 2012 as the culmination of Bandai Namco’s beloved 3D fighter series, it boasted the largest roster in franchise history—over 30 Riders from Ichigo to Wizard. But for English-speaking fans, it was a tantalizing tease. The menus were a maze of kanji. The mission objectives were incomprehensible. And the legendary "Climax Time" finisher was a beautiful gamble, as you never knew which button you were actually supposed to press.

Then, in 2014, hope arrived. A fan group released an "English patch"—a hacked ISO meant to translate menus, Rider names, and move lists. But as any veteran of the PSP scene will tell you, that patch was cursed.
