Error in job 'RDSYS' or 'RESULT' : Error 159

Sometimes the error is paired with SYS-0015 in the EDIABAS trace file, indicating a "transmission timeout." If this error is present, you might experience:

User: “I have a 2004 BMW 330i (E46). INPA connects to battery and ignition, but when I pick ‘E46’ then ‘Engine’ → ‘MS43’, I get Error 159.”

Why: Their INPA had DATEN v40 (released 2010). The MS43 DME in their car had a 2005 firmware update. The old script didn’t recognize the updated response. Do not randomly reinstall software

Fix: Updated to SP-DATEN v68 for E46. Restarted INPA. Error gone.
