De Dhakka 2 is the spiritual successor to the 2008 cult classic De Dhakka. While the first film followed a family’s hilarious journey to Mumbai, the sequel takes a different route geographically and narratively.
The Plot: Directed by Mahesh Manjrekar and Sudesh Manjrekar, the film revisits the Jadhav family. This time, the family travels from Mumbai to their native village in Konkan to attend a wedding. However, their journey is anything but smooth. They get stranded in a small village called Jambori, inhabited by eccentric characters, including a gangster named Anna (played by the late legendary actor Mohan Agashe).
