Once launched, you’ll see a tabbed interface:

  • Update package lists:

    sudo apt update
    
  • Install the optimizer package:

    sudo apt install heuz-optimizer
    
  • Enable and start the service (if provided): Once launched, you’ll see a tabbed interface: You’ll

    sudo systemctl enable --now heuz-optimizer.service
    
  • Fix: That’s because it’s searching only locally now — that’s a feature, not a bug.

    Problem: “Access denied” or some tweaks fail
    Solution: Ensure you ran as administrator. Some protections (like Tamper Protection in Windows Security) must be temporarily disabled.

    Problem: Windows Update stops working after tweaks
    Solution: Re-enable Windows Update service in the Services tab, then run ActionsReset Windows Update. Each tab contains toggles (ON = tweak applied

    Problem: Tool won’t open / gives .NET error
    Solution: Install .NET Framework 4.8 and ensure Windows is fully updated.

    Problem: Antivirus flags the tool
    Solution: Heuz OS Optimizer is open-source and safe. Add it to your antivirus exclusions if needed. You can review the code on GitHub.
