Genplus Gx Wad Page
This is where confusion often arises. When people search for "genplus gx wad," they are usually looking for one of two things:
The WAD version retains every feature of the standard Genplus GX: genplus gx wad
This is a tiny WAD file (usually ~500KB) that installs a shortcut channel. When you click this channel, it tells the Wii to look on your SD card (or USB drive) in the /apps/genplus-gx/ folder for the boot.dol file. This is where confusion often arises
Pros: Saves internal Wii storage. Allows you to easily update GenPlus GX by dragging/dropping new files to your SD card without reinstalling the WAD. Cons: You must keep the homebrew files on your SD card. Pros: Saves internal Wii storage
Most advanced users recommend the Forwarder WAD. It gives you the convenience of a system channel without sacrificing internal memory.
