Furthermore, the bootloader is usually locked, preventing users from flashing custom ROMs like LineageOS. While this protects less tech-savvy users from bricking their device, it also means that once Wiko stops providing updates (typically after 18-24 months), the tablet’s firmware becomes frozen in time.
