Electude Simulator Challenge Level 1 2021 ✨ 🌟

Applying ohmmeter leads to a powered circuit can damage the virtual meter (and in real life, the actual meter). The simulator will flag this as an improper procedure.

Upon successful completion, the student demonstrates:

| Skill | Description | |-------|-------------| | Meter setup | Select DC voltage (20V scale), correct lead placement (COM black, V/Ω red). | | Voltage drop testing | Verify battery (12.6V) and check for voltage at bulb socket. | | Continuity testing | Test ground path from bulb base to chassis ground (should be <1Ω). | | Fuse identification | Locate correct fuse (e.g., 15A for low beam left). | | Logical isolation | Separate power-side from ground-side failure. | | Virtual repair | Replace bulb, fuse, or repair broken wire. |

Yes. Most educational licenses allow unlimited resets, but your instructor may limit attempts. The 2021 version does not permanently lock you out. electude simulator challenge level 1 2021

Example 1 — No crank, no start; starter silent

  • Scoring note: show both measurement steps and safety (secure gearbox in park/neutral, parking brake, wear PPE).
  • Example 2 — Intermittent misfire, P0302 (cylinder 2 misfire)

  • Rationale: Rule out easiest replaceable items first and isolate component by substitution.
  • Example 3 — Low charging voltage (~12.2V at running engine) Applying ohmmeter leads to a powered circuit can

  • Note about diode failure: a bad diode can cause ripple and battery drain; test with oscilloscope or DC voltmeter with engine running and load.
  • Click on the DMM in the tool panel. Set it to DC Volts (20V range) . Connect the black lead to a known good ground (often a dedicated ground point in the simulator). Use the red lead to probe various test points.
