After installation, the device should appear with a driver name (e.g., USB Serial Converter, Audio Device) and a COM port if applicable. Note the COM number for applications.
Reboot if prompted.
Reboot when installer requests.
Confirm device appears in System Report → USB or as an audio device in Audio MIDI Setup if applicable.
Note: Newer macOS versions have stricter kext signing and notarization requirements; use vendor-supplied, notarized drivers.
Even if not prompted, restart your PC to finalize kernel-level driver integration.
