Compare this to verified offline-first competitors (Obsidian, Anytype, or even Todoist’s desktop app). A truly verified Windows app should leverage IndexedDB and service workers to sync changes via a local-first CRDT (Conflict-free Replicated Data Type) engine. ClickUp does not do this. Therefore, the Windows app fails the ontological test of a desktop application. It is merely a standalone browser frame with a dedicated taskbar icon. The verification label is a marketing veneer over a thin web wrapper.
