When complete, the autoloader will send a fastboot reboot command. The KeyOne will restart. Do not interrupt this boot. The first boot after a full autoloader takes 3–5 minutes (the Android "Optimizing app 1 of 1" screen will appear).

An Autoloader is a low-level, signed flashing tool provided by BlackBerry (via TCL). It completely wipes all partitions (system, boot, modem, userdata) and reinstalls the factory firmware.

The first boot after a Full Autoloader flash takes 20 to 30 minutes. Do not panic. The device is rebuilding dalvik-cache and re-encrypting the userdata partition using BlackBerry’s secure keystore.

Once the Android setup wizard appears, congratulations—you have successfully unbricked your BlackBerry KeyOne.

Step 1: Install the Drivers Install the BlackBerry USB drivers on your PC. Restart your computer after installation.

Step 2: Power Down the KeyOne Hold the power button for 10 seconds. Tap "Power off." If the phone is frozen, hold Power + Volume Down for 32 seconds to force a hardware shutdown. When complete, the autoloader will send a fastboot

Step 3: Boot into Bootloader Mode (Fastboot) Hold the Power button and Volume Down button simultaneously for 5 seconds. You will see a black screen with small white text. It should say FASTBOOT MODE or DOWNLOAD MODE.

Step 4: Connect to PC Plug your KeyOne into the PC using the USB cable. Windows will make a "device connected" sound. Open Device Manager to ensure "Android Device" or "BlackBerry Device" appears without a yellow exclamation mark.

Step 5: Run the Autoloader Right-click the downloaded .exe file and select "Run as Administrator."

Do not unplug the cable. Do not close the window. You will see lines of text flying by. If you see "Flashing is complete" or "Download OK," you are safe.

Step 7: Automatic Reboot The phone will reboot itself. Leave it alone. The first boot after an Autoloader takes a long time (5-10 minutes). You will see the BlackBerry logo, then "Android is starting... Optimizing app 1 of 1."

Step 8: Initial Setup Once the setup wizard appears, congratulations. You have a fresh, clean KeyOne.
