is a cult-classic puzzle-platformer web game that serves as the second part of the fifth episode of Battle for Dream Island Again. Originally a Flash-based "playable episode," it challenges players to navigate characters like Book, Match, and Ice Cube through the interior of Evil Leafy to escape. How to Play "Unblocked" & New Versions
Since Adobe Flash Player was discontinued, the original site is no longer functional, but the game is still accessible through several modern methods:
HTML5 Port (Recommended): The most accessible way to play in modern browsers is the HTML5b port by Coppersalts, which remakes the engine to run without Flash.
Flashpoint Archive: You can download the game via the BlueMaxima's Flashpoint project, which preserves thousands of web games.
Itch.io Remakes: Several fan-maintained versions exist on platforms like itch.io, often including bug fixes or additional features.
The Upcoming Official Remake: Cary Huang announced at VidCon 2025 that an official remake is in development, potentially releasing after the BFDIA season concludes in 2026. Gameplay & History
Playing BFDIA 5b Unblocked: The Ultimate Guide to the "New" HTML5 Port
If you're a fan of Battle for Dream Island, you know that BFDIA 5b is a legendary piece of the series' history. It's the only "episode" that is actually a playable game rather than an animation. However, since Adobe Flash was discontinued, playing the original has become nearly impossible—until now. What is BFDIA 5b?
Released in 2013 by Michael and Cary Huang, BFDIA 5b is a puzzle-platformer where you control members of the "FreeSmart" alliance. The game takes place inside Evil Leafy, where you must navigate through 53 challenging levels to find an exit. How to Play BFDIA 5b Unblocked Today bfdia 5b unblocked new
Because the original Flash version is no longer supported by modern browsers, the community has stepped up to keep the game alive. Here are the best ways to play "unblocked" and updated versions:
The HTML5 Port (HTML 5b): This is the gold standard for playing today. A developer named Copper Salts ported the entire game to HTML5, making it playable in any modern browser without Flash. You can find it on GitHub Pages.
Itch.io Versions: Several creators have uploaded stable, browser-based versions of the game. High-quality ports include the ones by Dogons and digny and Beefwe2286.
Flashpoint Archive: For the purists, the Flashpoint Archive includes the original .swf file and provides its own emulator to run it exactly as it appeared in 2013. Key Characters & Gameplay
Each character you unlock has unique abilities that you'll need to master to solve puzzles:
Book: The starting character; well-balanced with normal speed and jumping.
Match: Can fit through small holes and is immune to fire (her hair even catches fire to help melt obstacles!).
Ice Cube: Fast on her feet but has a very low jump. Warning: she melts almost instantly in heaters. HTML5b - Battle for Dream Island

An official remake of the puzzle-platformer BFDIA 5b is currently in development to complete the original, unfinished Adobe Flash game. Players seeking unblocked access often utilize GitHub repositories, browser-based Flash emulators like Ruffle, or local hosting of the original 53-level game. "Stop!" Leafy screamed. Her voice cracked the digital silence.
Everyone froze. Leafy walked toward the cube. "Look at us. We’re fighting in a broken world for a broken prize. If one of us takes it, we leave everyone else in this white void forever." “What If
"So?" Pencil scoffed. "I like winning."
"But do you like winning alone?" Leafy asked. She pointed to the exit portal on the far side of the grid. "We can leave. We can go back to the real Evil Canyon, finish the challenge the hard way, and stay friends."
The Announcer’s screen flickered. "Sentiment detected. Deleting 'Leafy' in 3... 2..."
"Grab the cube, Coiny!" Firey shouted, realizing the danger.
"No, you grab it!"
In the scuffle, the Glitched Announcer fired a deletion beam. It missed Coiny but struck the Prize Cube.
CRITICAL ERROR.
The void began to collapse. The grid dissolved into binary code. The sky turned a violent shade of purple.
"The world is crashing!" Tennis Ball screamed. "We have to jump into the exit portal now!"
They scrambled toward the exit. Firey, Coiny, Leafy, Bubble, Pencil, Match, and Tennis Ball leaped through the swirling vortex just as the white void shattered into millions of pixels.
"We just want the HPRC back!" Coiny shouted. "We need to recover the dead contestants!"
The Glitched Announcer spun around. "The HPRC is not here. But the Prize is." Unblocked-Friendly Player
The contestants froze. The prize. The Dream Island. The very reason they were torturing themselves in the first place.
"The prize was deleted," Pencil argued. "It's gone."
"In the original timeline, yes," the Announcer buzzed. "But in this unblocked timeline, nothing is truly deleted. It is merely... archived."
With a wave of a mechanical arm, the Announcer revealed a massive, glowing cube in the center of the void. It pulsed with colors that had no names.
"That is the BFDIA Prize," Tennis Ball gasped. "It’s a raw data file containing absolute victory. If you touch it, you win everything immediately. No more challenges. No more votes."
The group looked at one another. The tension snapped instantly.
"I want it!" Firey yelled, dashing forward.
"Get out of my way, Firey!" Coiny yelled, tackling him.
Leafy, surprisingly, hung back. She looked at the chaos unfolding. Firey and Coiny were rolling across the grid, punching each other. Pencil was using Bubble as a shield to dodge the Glitched Announcer’s attacks. Match was trying to form an alliance with a floating 1-Up mushroom.
