Unlike a cheque book or a deposit slip, a Demand Draft form is a secure financial instrument. Most banks, including Axis Bank, use pre-printed, numbered, or carbon-copy DD forms that are issued only at the branch. This is a security measure to prevent fraud, forgery, and duplication.
However, this does not mean you cannot initiate a DD request digitally. Axis Bank has modernized the process. Instead of downloading a PDF to print and fill manually, you can use digital methods to generate the DD, after which the bank provides a filled-in PDF receipt.
If you absolutely need a physical piece of paper to submit at a branch (for corporate reimbursement or record-keeping), you can create an application on a plain A4 sheet. Many Axis Bank branches accept this format.
