    Most cracked versions available today are based on the Empress crack for Anno 1800, which typically targets a specific update (e.g., Game Update 14 or 15). However, as of late 2024 and into 2025, the latest game updates (Update 17, 18, etc.) have not been publicly cracked due to Denuvo’s increasing complexity.

    This means the version you pirate is almost always several major patches behind the official game.
