Most old walkthroughs are obsolete. The developers patched the infamous "infinite wine" glitch in v3.0. However, the new version introduced an undocumented developer console. Here is how to activate it:
The Cheat: Press ~ (tilde) during gameplay. Type unlock_all_clues and press Enter. This immediately reveals every interactive hotspot in Christie’s Room, bypassing the tedious pixel-hunting phase.
If you don’t want to use the console, follow this sequence-breaking walkthrough. This assumes you have started a New Game+ or are using a save file that has already met Christie once.
