Even if you ignore the iPad incompatibility and try to run these files on an Android device or a PC emulator, you face severe risks:

A 2024 report by Trend Micro analyzed 100 "game boost APKs" – 89% contained malware. 82% of those specifically targeted high-FPS and "iPad view" search terms.

The proliferation of high-refresh-rate mobile displays (90Hz, 120Hz, 144Hz) has created a demand for software that leverages this hardware capability. However, many developers cap frame rates in games to conserve battery or maintain thermal stability. This has led to the emergence of "Premium APKs"—modified Android application packages (often falsely marketed for iPad)—that claim to unlock 90 or 120 Frames Per Second (FPS). This paper details the technical architecture of these modifications, their compatibility across platforms (specifically addressing the "iPad" misnomer), the risks involved, and the legality surrounding their use. 90 fps ipad view premium apk

  1. Hi Johannes,

small correction from my side. The next hop address in your Wireshark trace, which you referred to as the first 8 hextets of your IPv6 address, is not really 8 hextets. In fact, a hextet is by definition 16 bits according to Wikipedia.
So they are the first two hextets of the IPv6 address (4 bytes -> 2×16).

Other than thant, thanks for posting the Wireshark capture!

    Grüße
    Wassim
